Water Treatment Plant
(20ft Container)

Quarry sites, mining operations, and remote construction projects in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah cannot always access treated municipal water. Daily water tanker costs on a 12-month project add up fast.

This 20ft container holds a complete three-stage water treatment system, sediment filter, activated carbon filter, and polishing filter with a 6,000-litre-per-hour output. Built and tested at our Sharjah yard. Delivered road-ready to your site. Operational within hours of placement.

A Complete Water Treatment System
Inside One 20ft Container

Getting clean process water to a remote project site in the UAE is expensive when you rely on tanker deliveries. A 10,000-litre tanker costs between AED 150 and AED 300 per delivery in the RAK and Fujairah region and large sites need several deliveries a day for dust suppression, equipment washing, and welfare use.

This project delivered a containerized water treatment plant to a quarry operation in the Ras Al Khaimah Industrial Zone near Wadi Al Qor. The client had access to a borehole but the raw water contained suspended sediment, organic compounds, and an unpleasant odour. It was not suitable for equipment washing or welfare use without treatment.

We fitted the complete treatment system inside a standard 20ft ISO container at our SICD fabrication yard in Sharjah. The container arrived at the RAK site on a flatbed truck. The client connected the borehole inlet pipe and a 380V three-phase power supply. The system was producing 6,000 litres of treated water per hour by the end of the first day.

Three-Stage Filtration Sediment to Polish

Raw water from a borehole or storage tank enters through a 2-inch inlet pipe on the container exterior. It passes through three filter stages in sequence. Stage one is a sediment filter that removes particles down to 20 microns sand, silt, and suspended solids from borehole water common in the RAK and Fujairah limestone belt. Stage two is an activated carbon filter that removes organic compounds and odour. Stage three is a 5-micron polishing filter for final clarity before the outlet pipe.

Electric Centrifugal Pump

An electric centrifugal pump drives the full treatment system. Flow rate is 6,000 litres per hour  enough for dust suppression on a 5-hectare quarry site, equipment washing for 15 to 20 machines, and welfare water for a camp of 60 workers simultaneously. The pump runs on a 380V three-phase supply, compatible with standard UAE site generators used across construction and quarry operations in Wadi Al Qor and the Hajar Mountain industrial belt.

Side Access Panels and GRP-Coated Floor

Two large access panels are cut into the long side wall of the container. Maintenance teams reach the filter housings, pump, and pipework without climbing inside the container. That matters on remote sites where a confined space entry permit is difficult to arrange. The floor is GRP-coated glass-reinforced plastic prevents water damage to the steel floor when filters are flushed or changed. All pipework inside is UPVC, all valves are stainless steel ball valves.

Who Orders a Containerized Water
Treatment Plant in the UAE

Three types of operators in the UAE order containerized water treatment systems regularly. All three share the same problem — they need clean water at a site where municipal supply does not reach or tanker delivery is too expensive for daily operations.

Quarry and Mining Operators
RAK Industrial Zone

Quarry and aggregate crushing operations in the Ras Al Khaimah Industrial Zone near Wadi Al Qor and the Hajar Mountain quarry belt use large volumes of water daily for dust suppression on crushing circuits, equipment washing, and worker welfare. Borehole water in this region contains high sediment from the limestone geology. A containerized treatment plant converts that borehole water into clean process water at a fraction of daily tanker delivery costs.

Remote Infrastructure Projects
Fujairah and Al Ain

Road building, utilities, and civil infrastructure projects in the remote areas of Fujairah near Dibba Al Fujairah and the Al Ain-Fujairah Road (E89) corridor use containerized water treatment for both construction process water and worker camp welfare supply. The plant relocates on a flatbed truck when the work front moves, same as any other container on site.

Industrial Laundry and Food Processing

Industrial laundry operators and food processing plants at Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Industrial Area 3 use containerized pre-treatment systems to condition incoming water before it enters production equipment. Hard water and high mineral content in UAE groundwater damages boilers, washing machines, and heat exchangers. A pre-treatment container extends equipment life and reduces maintenance costs.
