Dry Container Storage Built for UAE Industry

The 20-foot standard container is the most widely used container in global trade. It handles dry, non-perishable cargo across road, sea, and rail and it forms the backbone of industrial storage and logistics in the UAE.

Businesses near Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Dubai Industrial City on Al Yalayis Road, and Musaffah Industrial Area in Abu Dhabi use 20ft standard containers for warehousing overflow, construction site material storage, and general cargo export.

Each unit is built from Corten steel, the same weathering steel used across global shipping fleets. It resists corrosion in the UAE's coastal humidity, desert dust, and summer heat without requiring treatment after delivery.

UAE Trade Context: Jebel Ali Port (JAFZA) is the world's ninth-largest container port and the largest in the Middle East, handling over 14 million TEUs per year according to DP World. The 20-foot standard container also called a TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) is the standard measure for all global container trade volumes.

Momentum Containers stocks 20ft standard containers at the Sharjah Inland Container Depot (SICD), off Emirates Road near Industrial Area 1. Units are available in new, one-trip, and graded used condition for sale and rental across all seven Emirates.

Every unit is structurally inspected before dispatch. Cargo-worthy units carry a valid CSC plate. Storage-grade units are wind-and-water tight. You receive a full written condition report with each delivery.

Construction and Build Key Structural Features

Built to ISO 668 and CSC standards for UAE road and port operations

Marine-Grade Plywood Floor

A 28mm marine plywood floor sits over the steel crossmember base. It takes forklift point loads and pallet jacks without buckling. Forklift pockets at both ends allow standard fork entry. The floor spacing of 950mm and 2,050mm matches UAE port forklift standards.

ISO 668 and CSC Certified

All new and cargo-worthy used units carry ISO 668 dimensional certification and a valid CSC (Container Safety Convention) plate. The CSC plate is mandatory for any container moved through Jebel Ali Port, Khalifa Port, or any UAE customs point. The plate shows the date of manufacture, next inspection date, and maximum stacking load.

Lashing Points and D-Rings

Eight internal lashing D-rings are welded into the floor crossmembers. Each ring is rated for cargo restraint loads up to 1,000 kg. They secure palletised cargo, machinery, and construction materials during transport from Sharjah depot to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Northern Emirates project sites.
