20ft Reefer Container
ADNOC Compliance
Temperature-controlled storage on ADNOC onshore and offshore sites is not optional, it is a hard requirement. This project supplied six 20ft reefer containers to an ADNOC-approved contractor at a facility near Ruwais Industrial Complex, Abu Dhabi.
Every unit passed ADNOC's pre-site inspection without a single corrective action request. TUV-certified, fully documented, and delivered road-ready from our Sharjah yard within 48 hours of order confirmation.

20ft Reefer Containers Prepared
and Certified for ADNOC Sites
ADNOC's HSE framework requires that any container entering an onshore or offshore facility meets specific structural, safety, and documentation standards. A standard reefer container from a depot does not pass that inspection without preparation work. We prepare every unit before delivery.
This batch of six 20ft reefer containers went to an ADNOC-approved EPC contractor at an onshore facility near Ruwais Industrial Complex on the Abu Dhabi coast, approximately 240 kilometres west of Abu Dhabi City along the E11 highway. The contractor needed cold storage for food supplies and pharmaceutical materials for a camp of 300 workers on a long-duration project.
We sourced six units with working Carrier or Thermo King refrigeration systems, ran each through our ADNOC compliance checklist at SICD Sharjah, issued individual condition reports and inspection certificates, and delivered all six to the contractor's marshalling yard in one consignment.
ADNOC Compliance Checklist, Every Unit
Each unit passed a structured pre-delivery inspection covering six areas: structural integrity of the container body, door seal condition and closure, refrigeration unit performance test at -25°C, exterior labelling per ADNOC HSE signage requirements, CSC plate validity, and pad eye and lifting sling condition for offshore units. We issued a signed condition report for each container before departure from our Sharjah yard.
Temperature Range
-30°C to +30°C
The refrigeration units on this batch run Carrier or Thermo King systems. Both brands are accepted by ADNOC procurement teams and both run on standard 380V three-phase power supply available at most onshore project sites near Ruwais, ICAD Mussafah, and the Abu Dhabi Industrial Area. The units hold temperature consistently across the full -30°C to +30°C range without manual intervention.
TUV Certification and Emergency Door
These units carry TUV certification a third-party technical inspection standard recognised by ADNOC and most major energy operators in the UAE. Each unit is fitted with an emergency interior release door mechanism. That is a mandatory requirement for any refrigerated container used for food or pharmaceutical storage on an occupied ADNOC site. Without it, the unit does not pass site access approval.
Who Needs ADNOC-Compliant
Reefer Containers in the UAE
Three types of companies order ADNOC-compliant reefer containers from us regularly. All three operate on ADNOC-approved project sites where non-compliant equipment simply does not get through the gate.
Catering and Camp Management
Das Island and Zirku Island
Catering contractors managing offshore platform camps at Das Island and Zirku Island off the Abu Dhabi coast need reefer containers that pass offshore inspection before vessel loading at Mina Zayed Port. We prepare the units to both ADNOC onshore and offshore standards same unit, dual compliance so the contractor does not need two separate procurement processes.
EPC Contractors
Ruwais and ICAD Mussafah
Main EPC contractors on ADNOC projects at Ruwais Industrial Complex and ICAD Mussafah Industrial Area need ADNOC compliant cold storage for worker camp food supplies and site pharmaceutical stocks. Projects running 500 or more workers on site require multiple reefer units with valid documentation. We supply in batches with one combined documentation pack per order.
Pharmaceutical Distributors
Abu Dhabi Industrial Area
Pharmaceutical distributors and medical supply companies serving ADNOC project sites, Khalifa Port industrial zone, and the Abu Dhabi Industrial Area (ADIA) near Mussafah use TUV-certified reefer containers for last-mile temperature-controlled delivery to site. The emergency door requirement and the TUV cert are both non-negotiable for pharmaceutical cold chain compliance in the UAE.
